Literary historian, writer, university professor and laureate of the Attila József Award. He studied the history of old Hungarian literature and comparative literature; he currently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Hungarian Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Szeged University. Apart from old Hungarian literature he focuses on recent Hungarian prose. His third novel A harmadik híd was published by the Protimluv publishing house in translation by Marta Pató under the title Třetí most.
