ČESKÁ ÚČAST NA VELETRHU
V české národní expozici na ploše 140 m², kterou organizuje Ministerstvo kultury ČR, se prezentovalo 30 nakladatelů. Expozice byla v letošním roce zcela nově koncipovaná a návštěvníci oceňovali především její přehlednost a zajímavé nasvícení celého prostoru stánku. Produkci akce zajišťoval Svět knihy, s.r.o., společnost Svazu českých knihkupců a nakladatelů.
Výstavy na českém stánku:
Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2007 – polygraficky nejzdařilejší tituly českých nakladatelů
Literární ceny udělené v roce 2006, 2007, 2008 – výstava oceněných knih
Současná česká poezie a próza - nově vydaná díla
Překlady české literatury – čeští autoři vydaní v cizích jazycích
Česká republika – 90“ – vznik republiky a historické mezníky v jejím vývoji
Zlatá stuha 2007 – výstava nominovaných a oceněných knih a ilustrací
Pro návštěvníky stánku bylo k dispozici internetové připojení pro vyhledávání a ukázky zajímavých literárních webů, především www.czlit.cz.
Ve spolupráci s Českým centrem Berlín proběhlo ve čtvrtek 16.10. večer čtení Ireny Douskové z knihy Hrdý Budžes, které bylo mimořádně dobře navštívené a sklidilo velmi pozitivní ohlas.
Dále ve spolupráci s Literature Across Frontiers se překladatel Petr Kučera (překlad Orhana Pamuka) zúčastnil panelové diskuse na téma Turecká literatura v Evropě.
Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2007 byly rovněž vystaveny v rámci kolekce Nejkrásnějších knih světa, jež je pravidelně připravována německou nadací Stiftung Buchkunst. Zároveň tato nadace při prezentaci svých aktivit představila společný projekt se společností Svět knihy. Jednalo se o výstavu, která proběhla v červnu letošního roku ve vile Portheimka v rámci kampaně Rosteme sknihou pod názvem Rosteme s knihou aneb Nejkrásnější knihy a ilustrace světa.
