Organizuje Ministerstvo kultury ČR, produkci akce zajišťuje Svět knihy, s.r.o., společnost Svazu českých knihkupců a nakladatelů. Česká národní expozice obsadí plochu 140 m², letos se v komerční části představí 23 nakladatelé.

Nejkrásnější české knihy roku 2008 – polygraficky nejzdařilejší tituly českých nakladatelů
Literární ceny udělené v roce 2007, 2008, 2009 – přehled udílených literárních cen v České republice a výstava oceněných knih

Pro návštěvníky stánku bude k dispozici, jak je děje v posledních letech již pravidelně, internetové připojení pro vyhledávání a ukázky zajímavých literárních webů, především

Ve spolupráci s Českým centrem Berlín proběhne ve čtvrtek 15.10. večer čtení Jáchyma Topola z knihy Kloktat dehet.
Na sobotu podvečer frankfurtský organizátor připravil přímo veletrhu v mezinárodní sekci happy hour, kde díky spolupráci s Německo – česko – slovenskou společností, Českým centrem Berlín a společností Svět knihy vystoupí skupina Psí vojáci.
Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis 2009 (Německá cena za literaturu pro mládež)se předává na frankfurtském knižním veletrhu v pátek 16.10., mezi osmadvaceti nominovanými je i česká autorka Iva Procházková s románem Nazí.
V neděli 18.10. bude Iva Procházková (bez ohledu na to, zda cenu dostane nebo ne) číst ve Čtenářském stanu z nominovaného románu.
