German-language books on show
at the 13th International Book Fair in Prague 2007

Under the headline “Reading the Future”, Germany, Austria and Switzerland introduce new books published in German.

“Reading the Future”
It is sometimes forgotten that literature has always been a tried and trusted means of indicating ways forward into the future or of making a contribution to actively structuring that future. This can happen directly or indirectly, by learning from the past, from social fantasies, literary blueprints, imaginative children’s books and technological visions. Allow yourself to be inspired!

You are invited to embark on literary voyages of discovery accompanied by our many books and to risk a glimpse of the future – to read the future. As well as publishing company presentations, our 100 sqm stand offers you a variety of theme-based book collections. Professional events on the BookWorld focuses “Multimedia” and “Children’s Literature” complete the exhibition displays.

“THE BOOK”
In a series of events entitled “THE BOOK”, German, Austrian and Swiss authors are introduced to the Czech public. Our literary guests include men and women writers whose books have already been translated into Czech, as well as new authors who are still waiting for their Czech readers.
